Service Description

1. Prep & Clean the Headlight Wash the headlight thoroughly using car shampoo to remove all dirt and debris. Decontaminate with a clay bar if needed (especially if the lens feels gritty). Wipe down the headlight with isopropyl alcohol to remove waxes, oils, and residues. Ensure a dust-free environment to reduce the chance of trapped particles. 2. Pre-Cut or Trim the PPF If using a pre-cut template, ensure it matches the exact headlight shape. If using bulk film, cut a slightly oversized piece to allow margin for trimming later. 3. Wet the Headlight with Slip Solution Generously spray the slip solution onto the surface of the headlight. This helps the film float and slide into position. 4. Apply the PPF Film Peel the backing off the PPF film while spraying both sides with slip solution to prevent it from sticking prematurely. Carefully lay the film onto the headlight, starting from the center and working outward. 5. Position and Align Gently move the film to align it with the contours and edges of the headlight. Use your hands or fingers to lightly press it into position. 6. Activate the Adhesive with Tack Solution Lift one section at a time and spray tack solution underneath (usually corners or high-stretch areas). This helps the film grip and stay in place. 7. Squeegee Out Air and Water Start from the center and push outward using overlapping strokes. Use a soft-edged squeegee to avoid scratching the film. Remove all bubbles and moisture, especially near the edges. 8. Heat and Stretch (if needed) Use a heat gun on low or medium to make the film more pliable around curves. Carefully stretch the film into place, avoiding overstretching that could distort or thin the film. 9. Final Trim (for bulk film) If using bulk PPF, trim any excess film with a sharp blade just shy of the edge to avoid lifting. Be very cautious not to cut into the headlight housing. 10. Post-Application Inspection Wipe down the area and check for: Bubbles or fingers (lifting edges) Dust or debris under the film Use light heat to seal any lifted corners. 11. Curing Time Let the vehicle sit indoors or in shade for 12–24 hours. Avoid washing the car or driving in heavy rain for at least 48 hours.
