Tint Your Windows For Privacy, Aesthetics, and Heat Rejection
The sun may not always shine in South Wales, but when it does, your vehicle’s interior can heat up fast — especially during long commutes or while parked outside. Without proper window tinting, excessive sunlight and glare can make every journey uncomfortable.
At Last Detailers, we offer professional-grade window tinting that enhances driving comfort, blocks harmful UV rays, and adds a sleek, refined finish to your vehicle. Whether you're navigating city traffic or enjoying weekend drives, our high-performance films help reduce interior heat, protect your upholstery, and increase privacy — all while elevating your car’s appearance.
Looking to go a step further? Our Paint Protection Film (PPF) services provide an invisible shield that defends your paintwork against chips, scratches, and road debris — keeping your vehicle looking showroom-fresh.
Benefits of Vehicle Window Tint
1️⃣ Reduces Heat & Keeps Your Interior Cool
If your air conditioning is constantly working overtime, your untinted windows could be to blame. High-quality window tints significantly reduce solar heat gain, making your vehicle noticeably cooler — even on the sunniest days. Enjoy a more comfortable drive and reduce the strain on your AC system.
2️⃣ Enhances Privacy & Security
Clear windows leave everything inside your vehicle on display. Window tinting provides discreet privacy, helping to shield both you and your belongings from prying eyes — whether you're parked in a busy city centre or outside your home.
3️⃣ Refines Your Vehicle’s Appearance
Window tinting adds a clean, stylish finish to any vehicle — much like a designer pair of sunglasses completes an outfit. Whether you’re looking for a subtle enhancement or a more dramatic change, tinting instantly elevates your car’s look. Want something bolder? Ask us about our colour change wraps for a full transformation.
4️⃣ Adds Safety in the Event of Breakage
In the event of an accident or attempted theft, window film helps hold shattered glass together, reducing the risk of injury and interior damage. While it won’t prevent breakage, it does provide added peace of mind and a cleaner, safer situation should the unexpected happen.

My Last Tint Bubbled and Turned Purple. Will That Happen Again?
We see that all the time in our shop. Generally speaking, when your film discolors, that’s due to the quality of the film. You could have good, clean install, but if the film is very old or of lower quality, the black dye will eventually deteriorate and discolor. With the brand we use, HITEK, they have a lifetime guarantee that it won’t purple or bubble up. So it should last you a very long time!
Another common problem we see with window tint is debris and water moisture getting stuck behind the film, which means you’ll see a dust, very small bubbles, or hair in your glass. This is due to a manufacture defect in the film, a crease that was created in the film during the installation process, or if the work environment simply wasn’t clean enough and as the tint was being installed, debris got back onto the glass.
To reduce and eliminate the chance of debris contamination during the installation process, we have two separate shops. In one unit, we have our dedicated detailing shop where we can perform the interior cleanings, paint correction, ceramic coatings, and more. The other shop, right next door, is dedicated to all our film services like window tint, vinyl wrap, and paint protection film. This greatly helps us produce a much cleaner installation and end-results.
Window Tint is a Must To Stay Cool While Driving in South Wales Heat
South wales heat is increasingly common. You sometimes can’t get away from it. It’s hot in your house, it’s hot outside, and it’s hot when you’re driving around the city. But one thing that can greatly reduce the heat inside your vehicle is ceramic tint.
And this is why we call our most popular window tint option the Heat Protection Package. This is when we tint all your windows, including your windshield, in ceramic film.
The key part to this is the windshield because it’s often times the biggest window you have in your car and where it lets the most amount of heat in. So with ceramic film, the film that has the most heat blocking abilities, will dramatically make your car cooler.
If you pass by our shop, we can even show you a demo on how it works using our infrared light box. You’ll instantly feel the difference of what ceramic film can offer.
And this makes a big difference if you have pets or younger kids inside your vehicle. When your windows aren’t tinted in ceramic film, the sun is still getting through the windows and heating up your interior. Which makes it much more uncomfortable for your kids, babies, or pets.

Window Tint FAQ
Where is your shop located?
We offer professional window tinting and detailing services by appointment at our private location in South Wales. Customers can drop their vehicles off at:
12 Cambrian Avenue, CF39 8TB
Additional services include paint correction, ceramic coating, and interior cleaning – all carried out with expert care and attention to detail.
How long does it take to tint my windows?
A few factors must be taken into consideration: Are we removing pre-existing tint? How big are the windows? How many windows are being tinted? Are the windows complex? Generally speaking, if we’re doing all the windows, we’d ask for a full day to complete the job. If it’s just the front two, then we’ll just need a few hours.
What’s the difference between a tint kit and what you offer?
Tint kits are a great starting point if you want to tint your windows yourself. But it can quickly get complicated and frustrating. On top of that, the quality of the film is usually subpar relative to premium brands. Nonetheless, it will get the job done if you put in the effort.
Are the windows tinted on the interior or exterior of the car?
Your car windows are tinted from the inside! You may have seen photos where the tint is on the outside of the window, but that’s only to cut or shrink the film The actual installation is done on the interior.
What are the tint laws in South Wales?
-
The front windscreen must let through at least 75% of light.
-
The front side windows (driver and passenger) must let through at least 70% of light.
-
There are no legal limits on how dark you can tint the rear windows or rear windscreen.
How long will my window tint last?
Like many things, it depends on the quality of the film, how you store the vehicle, and how you maintain the film. The film we use, HITEK, has a lifetime warranty. The film will no delaminate, crack, peel, bubble, or colour-change.
Can you tint my front windshield?
Yes, we can definitely do that. The windshield will often times be the biggest window on your car (unless you have a large sunroof or back window) and allow the most heat in. So if you want to keep the heat out, you’d want to go with carbon or ceramic tint. This will make a big difference in rejecting heat! And you don’t have to lose visibility. We often use 75% ceramic to not add any darkness but to gain all the benefits.
What’s the difference of each window film?
There’s a lot of brands and options of tint on the market. For us, we choose to go with a Good, Better, and Best option. You can choose whichever shade of tint you want like 5%, 20%, 35%, etc… The biggest difference is in the ability to reject heat. Classic tint has no heat rejection. So you’re only getting privacy. Carbon is where you start to get some level of heat rejection. And Ceramic tint is where you get the most amount of heat rejection (which keeps the car cooler the most).
When can I roll down my windows?
At a minimum, you’d want to wait 24 hours after installation to roll down your windows. This will allow enough time for the film to cure and adhere to the glass in the sun. If you roll down your windows before then, you risk the chance of moving the film out of place. This can lead to creating gaps in the tint or edges to peel. If it’s during winter time, it’s safer to wait 48 hours for the windows to cure.
Do you have to take off the old film first?
Yes, before we install new window film, we’d first have to remove your pre-existing tint. This can make the tint process take much longer. Sometimes the old tint will come off with not much work. But other times, it’ll come off in pieces and leave all the old adhesive behind. So we have to do a thorough job of prepping the glass before we even think about installing the new film.
Should I try to install tint myself?
That’s how we all start! You can always order a generic tint kit from Amazon and have a go at it. It can be very rewarding to do it yourself.
My glass has small chips in it. Will this affect the tint process?
Overall, it doesn’t affect the tint process or the results that you get, but you may see more of those chips or cracks from your glass after we’ve tinted it.
